MoodleCloud announced they now offer subscription based pricing for BigBlueButton that gives instructors the ability to hold larger synchronous online classes.
In July 2015 Moodle HQ launched MoodleCloud, and, now fourteen months later, MoodleCloud hosts thousands of education sites for instructors around the world. The launch included a free usage of BigBlueButton for up-to six (6) users.
The subscription-based pricing enables educational institutions using MoodleCloud to increase their capacity up to thirty (30) users. For more information and pricing, see MoodleCloud and BigBlueButton integration continue to advance online learning.

We are pleased to announce the new version of the BigBlueButton integration with Moodle. The plugin BigBlueButtonBN version 2.0.0-b1 is for the moment available only in GitHub and can be downloaded from here. As soon as we move it to the next stage in our development process it will be released to the Moodle Plugin Database.
This new version has been written with the goal of providing users with a more complete way to use BigBlueButton in Moodle, includes features that users have been asking over the time and also changes that have been required due the modifications Moodle has made between versions.
We have tried to cover the most possible use cases while keeping a simple interface for end users and system administrators.
As before, the plugin comes pre-configured so users can install it and start using it right with the default values. No need to change even the BigBlueButton server for trying it out.
The recordingsBN plugin has been also updated to be compatible with the back end changes made to the BigBluebuttonBN plugin. The new version 1.2.0-b1 is also in GitHub and can be downloaded from here.
An overview of the new features can be found here.tpl archive

Blindside Networks updated the Sakai Meeting Tool (BigBlueButton integration) with the following new features
- Wait for moderator (rooms can now be set so students can’t enter until a moderator enters)
- Hide duration
- iCalendar options for notification
- Use the new Sakai editor
As part of our professional hosting for BigBlueButton we also create video files of the recording. These video files are playback on the desktop and on iOS and Andriod devices (phones and tablets). The playback of a video includes the chat messages to the right.
Here’s a link to a sample video payback of a BigBlueButton session.
When you sign up for Blindside Networks Hosting, you get this playback format in addition to the default ‘presentation’ format in BigBlueButton. For more information, contact us directly.tpl archive
